I am trained as a Psychosynthesis practitioner. Psychosynthesis as a talk therapy draws on elements of both Western psychology and Eastern contemplative traditions. It recognises both that we suffer our past but also that we are more than our past, that life is as much about what we are drawn to and moved by, and how that aids growth and change.
Therapy unfolds through dialogue between therapist and client, but can also include practices such as meditation, guided imagery and dream work based upon what is needed in the moment.
Each session lasts for one hour. The course of the therapy itself is not time-limited but based upon the needs of the client. It may last weeks, months, or even years.
Perhaps you feel held back by the past or find yourself stuck in limited cycles of behaviour. Maybe you have difficulty in relating to others, or often find yourself in situations of distress. Or maybe you find yourself in the middle of your life wondering where it all went wrong. Any of these reasons (and more) are why therapeutic support may be sought, and are suited to the services I offer.
I am not qualified to practice with people under the age of 18.
I am currently training at the Institute of Psychosynthesis in London. As a trainee the work I do is continually reviewed by qualified supervisors and the training program I am on is accredited by the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapists (UKCP).
The training path that I am on will ultimately lead to professional accreditation as a psychotherapist.
The first session is free. Further sessions are priced at £25 per hour.
I'm currently available on Mondays and Tuesdays, although I may be available at other times.
Please contact me to arrange a first appointment, providing a brief description of why you are seeking counselling, and we can progress from there.
I look forward to hearing from you.
